Question 1: What is the price of the EasyTravel?
Answer: There are three models of ActiveLite EasyTravel scooters available.  The Easy Travel Classic ($2,999), Elite ($2,999) and Titan ($3,999).   Each EasyTravel model has a unique feature set designed to suit different  needs. There are various combinations of accessories.  Batteries are included in all our prices which are quoted in Canadian funds. Other "goodies" are included at no charge. Sales Taxes, Duty are not applicable. There are no "cross-border" brokerage and shipping charges.

Great news! We are currently offering special pricing on the Classic and the Elite models. Click here for details.

When considering the total cost of scooter ownership, please note that EasyTravel scooters do not require you to spend any money on a lift, hoist, ramp, special vehicle or any other expensive supplementary equipment.

There are more fundamental differences between EasyTravel and other scooters.  It is vital to be aware of the features and benefits of EasyTravel because your decision is too important to be based on price alone.  However, more detailed price information is readily available. We also offer Brand New Showroom Demo Models and Pre-owned units at significant discounts. Please contact us (toll-free at 1-866-404-2080) for more information.

Question 2: Why does the EasyTravel have special tax status?
Answer: Because all EasyTravel models are designed as an aid to locomotion for people with a physical disability that has resulted in impaired mobility.

Question 3: What is the travel range of the EasyTravel?
Answer: Travel range is up to 13 km (8 miles) on the EasyTravel Classic and up to 10 miles (17 km) on the EasyTravel Elite. The Titan has double the range. Click here for a more detailed Technical comparison.

Question 4: What type of battery does the EasyTravel use?
Answer: All EasyTravel models operate on non-spillable, deep-cycle, rechargeable, lead-acid batteries. Total voltage is 24V DC. EasyTravel batteries are approved for air travel and are not restricted for passenger or cargo aircraft by the FAA or IATA. For your convenience, this information is stamped into the case of the battery pack.

Question 5: How long does it take to recharge the EasyTravel battery?
Answer: First of all the EasyTravel uses a modern, high-tech, deep-cycle, rechargeable battery. This means the battery does not develop a "memory". Therefore the battery can be topped-up whenever you like - generally overnight. The intelligent battery charger will never overcharge the battery. And the recharger indicator light tells you about the status of the battery. So you do not need to let the battery run down before recharging. In the event that the battery is completely discharged, it will take from 7 to 10 hours to fully recharge.

Question 6: How do I recharge the battery?
Answer: You can recharge the battery by plugging the included charger into the side of the scooter. Alternatively, you could leave the scooter in the trunk of your car. Just bring the battery indoors for recharging. We also offer an optional mobile power inverter so that you can recharge your EasyTravel using your vehicle's cigar lighter.

Question 7: What is the maximum EasyTravel user weight?
Answer: 250 lbs on the Classic and Elite models. 300 lbs on the Titan.

Question 8: What grade is acceptable to a maximum-weight EasyTravel user?
Answer: 18% on the Titan and 10% on other models. This means the EasyTravel handle an incline of 1 unit over 10 units. For example, Easy Travel Classic and Elite will climb 1 meter over a distance of 10 meters.

Question 9: Will the EasyTravel roll on a slope?
Answer: No. The EasyTravel has an automatic electronic brake that will prevent the unit from rolling forwards or backwards on a slope without user intervention. In other words the EasyTravel will only move when the user moves the hand control lever. The brake is active even when the EasyTravel is switched off and/or the battery is removed.

Question 10: Can the EasyTravel be transported on an aircraft?
Answer: Yes. The EasyTravel battery is not restricted for passenger or cargo aircraft. This information is stamped into the case of the Battery Pack. Take a look. Your EasyTravel may be allowed into the passenger compartment with the "baby strollers" or it may be transported in the hold. The final decision on how to transport your EasyTravel on an aircraft rests with the individual air crew. However we have not had any reports of EasyTravel users experiencing difficulty with air travel. Please refer to our user comments for real-life feedback on this important issue.

Question 11: Will the EasyTravel fit into the trunk of a rental car?
Answer: Yes. The EasyTravel Classic and Elite models will fit into the trunk of any production car available in Canada including any sub-compact vehicle. Folding is Easy!. Take a look. EasyTravel Titan will fit into most compact and all mid-size and larger vehicles.

Question 12: What is the weight of the EasyTravel?
Answer: The design philosophy behind EasyTravel is "full-size" and "compact and light-weight". All EasyTravel models can be taken apart and folded in a few seconds. For example, the heaviest part of the EasyTravel Classic is less than 30 lbs - significantly lighter than other scooters.  Click here for a more detailed Technical comparison.

Question 13: What is the speed of the EasyTravel?
Answer: All EasyTravel models have an infinitely adjustable speed control. The EasyTravel Titan has a maximum speed  of 12 km/h (approximately 8 miles/hour). Other EasyTravel models can travel up to a maximum speed  of 6 km/h (approximately 4 miles/hour) which is a little faster than a brisk walk.

Question 14: What is the turning radius of the EasyTravel?
Answer: The turning radius varies on each model of EasyTravel. The turning radius of the EasyTravel Classic is 89 cm (35 inches).  Click here for a more detailed Technical comparison.

Question 15: Why is the EasyTravel called the "Laptop" of scooters?
Answer: In modern computer terms, many of our users see the EasyTravel as the "Laptop" of motorized scooters.
· EasyTravel is lightweight and portable, "Desktop" scooters are not.
· EasyTravel retains all the features and functionality associated with "Desktop" scooters.
· EasyTravel represents the cutting edge of innovative scooter design.
