January 2004 - Letter received from a Montreal based ActiveLite Elite user who recently returned from a vacation in Florida.

Hello Bryan,

It was nice chatting with you yesterday and my wife has just informed me that the package from you has just arrived. Good service from you as usual.

I want to let you know the result of the first major use of my EasyTravel Elite Scooter. After getting familiar with it at home and in a mall in Montreal my real test was in Florida on a 2 week vacation.

The scooter was accepted for transport by the airline (JetsGo) at no charge (handicap conveyance). I used the scooter almost everyday during the 2 weeks. In the morning I would go out on the long Hollywood boardwalk to see the sights and meet with friends. The scooter was perfect. I could match the walking pace of my friends exactly, from sauntering to brisk, and all the while continuing conversation. My morning trips lasted from 1 to 2 hours occasionally going to 2 ½ hours usually at a brisk pace with the battery indicator showing only minor reduction in available power.

My other major use on this trip was in shopping malls and flea markets, which, if you haven’t been there, are huge. The scooter handled all situations easily, maneuvering through pedestrian traffic, up and down curbs and ramps, as well as smooth and rough terrain.

I can only compliment the designers and builders of the scooter as I could find no fault in its use and operation. The folding and unfolding process and everything else done with the scooter was done with ease and as promised. (Of course a little practice was needed at first).

A major plus is the battery. I have the heavy-duty version that after my morning ride took only about 3 hours to be fully charged so as to be ready for afternoon or evening excursions. I usually charged over night to be ready for the next day. The scooter was kept folded in the car and the battery charged in the apartment which was easy and convenient.

While all this sounds like a sales pitch I must say in all honesty that I am thrilled with the scooter. It is designed well and performs. I go where I couldn’t before and enjoy areas and activities previously missed due to my walking and fatigue problem due to MS.

Sincerely,

Paul Pinsler
