| | June 2003 - Email received from an ActiveLite user recently returned from a Florida vacation. Hi Bryan,
This is just a short note to let you know how we made out with the Easy Travel scooter on our recent vacation.
It's really amazing the independent feeling it gives you e.g. you can go to a mall by yourself, a scoot along the boardwalk, a museum, a racetrack, it really is amazing what I can now do.
For travel on the airplane you merely fold it up, I taped the battery on and placed the charger in my luggage and every thing was checked as baggage.
It really made our trip. I haven't used my wheelchair since I got the scooter. Thanx Bryan.
Peter Doody | | June 2003 - Email received from the wife of the above EasyTravel user. Dear Bryan, As the healthier member of this duo I thought you might like my input on the Easy Traveler (otherwise called ET by us.)
As you know we had tried to find a scooter that was easy for Peter to handle, light enough for him to lift, and fun. We were convinced nothing like that existed until we heard about your product. |
| Prior to this purchase we used a wheelchair for our outings. It was tedious getting it in and out of the trunk, to say nothing of the awkwardness. Having to do this three or four times a day was a grind.
The ET is a snap to assemble, much easier to manage, lighter, easy to maneuver and quite a conversation piece. More than that though it has given us both freedom. By that I mean that I'm not always pushing; we don't have to consider the terrain (hilly or bumpy); in restaurants, Peter just transfers to a regular chair and ET goes off into a corner. In a mall or a museum, Peter just goes off on his own and enjoys himself and we can meet up later.
Best of all, though, was out trip to Florida this winter. Easy, Easy, Easy. We just collapsed it up like a baby stroller, sent it off in special baggage and picked it up at the other end. Prior to that we used to rent wheelchairs whenever we traveled. No more!
As I mentioned before it has taken a lot of the anxiousness and preplanning out of our lives. If a location is accessible, off we go.
In our case, we tease each other by saying that we really bought the ET for me!!!
Thanks so much for all you've done for us.
