Dear Mr. Krikst,

Re: My First Mobility Free Vacation

Every year I attend the Toronto 'People In Motion' show. I have been looking for a scooter that could be easily taken on vacation. For the past 11 years our problem has been that my regular 175lbs scooter could be taken on the aircraft, but upon arrival the cost of renting an accessible van made a vacation very expensive. Not to mention if the scooter was damaged by the airline, repairs would leave me in a difficult situation. As a result, in the past years we would use a manual wheelchair necessitating being pushed by my wife, Harriet. Needless to say this always caused a great strain, fatigue and inconvenience for both of us.

Over the years, portable scooters that we have looked at were either too heavy to place in the trunk of a car, had too many parts or too complicated to assemble. When we met you and you explained the advantages of the EasyTravel scooter, I thought this was the answer to our travel problems. I have to admit I was skeptical with the lightweight appearance of the EasyTravel, as I weigh 220 lbs. But everything you told me about it proved to be true on our recent vacation to Florida. It is one of the very few products we have purchased that does everything it claims.

First of all, the ease of assembly: Prior to leaving for Florida the short and easy instructions provided by you to my wife was most appreciated and beneficial. It's compact size made airline handling a breeze. Due to my disability of Polio, my wife has to take it apart/assemble and place it in the rental car. This was done as much as four to eight times a day. Many times as the unit was being separated and/or assembled (only 3 pieces) my wife commented as to how easy, light-weight and compact the scooter is. Not to mention the many people, passing by, who asked us about it.

The information provided regarding how long the battery charge would last for the (7Ah battery) and (12Ah battery) was very accurate. We got five hours from the (12Ah battery) and two and half-hours from the (7Ah battery) when at the mall with a hard smooth surface. Shorter battery life was experience where the terrain was rougher. However, having the small battery charger along allowed us to charge-up during lunch or dinner, extending the usage.

The easy operation was pleasantly surprising. For such a small unit, the power and maneuverability was a delight. The seat, for a person of my size, was very comfortable. we have finally found a scooter that we can travel with, that allows me to have the mobility freedom that I have not had for many years. I highly recommend it for vacation or daily usage.

Sincerely,

Edward "Eddie" Rice
